Scorecards and Strategies

A key difference from other Risk consultancies is our end to end process consideration. When developing new scorecards we look at the processes involved, how it will be deployed and at all times work in partnership with the client. This approach leads to a successful implementation and satisfied clients who understand the new strategy and can take full ownership. Working with the underwriting, authorisation and collections teams to understand how these strategies need to be implemented either through a change of process or a change in peoples behaviours can ensure that the operational strategy is aligned to the objectives of the risk team.

Collections

A key strength within Prodant is our collections experience. From setting up new collections businesses to optimising recovery agency strategies we have worked with a variety of clients to improve their collections performance.

More than reviewing the collections risk strategies we also add tangible value by utilising operational tools to improve collections performance leading to greater efficiencies and effectiveness when collecting. Optimising diallers, call times, collections methods, customer targeting and identifying new tools to improve contact mean that we can improve the collections metrics. The key goal of all collections managers!

Fraud Prevention

Credit fraud continues to hit the headlines, and continues to hit profits. The fraudsters are quick to react to change, are innovative, and relentless in identifying opportunities to defraud organisations of their money. We work with clients to understand potential compromise points and build defence mechanisms to prevent losses and where possible recover fraudulently obtained funds. We’ve worked across application fraud, transactional fraud and helped design the Faster Payments fraud defences strategy for a major UK bank. Implementing practical defence measures work in parallel with more advanced fraud prevention solutions to beat the fraudster wherever possible.

Unfortunately, it is not only the external environment in which fraudsters operate. Internal fraud and security continues to raise its profile across many industries. We have worked with clients to implement simple measures for internal fraud as well as implementing prevention systems and processes. Initially, each leading to a greater understanding of the internal fraud levels, which in turn means prevention tools can be targeted in the right areas.

Core to any risk function are the systems that it deploys. We’ve worked with a variety of systems and so are able to provide an independent perspective on how best to utilise their capabilities within a clients business. The systems we’ve worked on cover all aspects of the credit risk life-cycle:

Our Analytical Consultants have SAS, SPSS, SQL and advanced excel and access skills to help develop simple but useful MI output. MI which can actually be used within your business to help make decisions. An efficient MI system frees up your internal risk team to concentrate on more added value work.
